Fully adjustable shift light and rev counter for DIY projects LSK5005
Powerful multifunctional tachometer suitable for integrating into a motorcycle’s dashboard or constructing your own DIY device. It can be used as a simple revolution counter, but also in addition to a factory-mounted revcounter as a warning before revlimiter  like in Triumph Speed Triple (including flashlight when close to the limiter). There is also another output to use the device as a so-called “shift-light” – it will flash when a certain revs were reached. Moreover it can be used as RGB LED controller that  causes smooth color changes depending on RPM.

LEDs are not included.
You need to buy the type you need and solder it by yourself. Device is designed for standard 20mA, from 1.5 to 4V superbright LEDs (not depends on color).
Functions and possible settings
Revcounter
with up to seven LEDs (number of active LEDs, minimum and maximum revs can be set up)
3 to 7 LEDs can be connected and activated as a dot or bar mode tachometer measuring between minimal and maximal set RPMs.
Revs when all LEDs will start flashing can be set.
Revs when Shift Light connected to its own 12V output will start flashing can be set.
Shift indicator
By setting the minimum RPM to a range about 2/3 of the maximum revs, you will get an shift indicator telling you that the engine is close to maximal speed. This can be combined with flashing in the highest RPM. For example, this feature is used in stock speedometer of Triumph Speed Triple - see this short
Device can drive multicolor LEDs according to RPM of engine.
Three separated 12V outputs for red, green and blue chip of LED.
Shift light
Flashing of all LEDs or only a connected Shift Light can be set at any RPM from 400 to 29 900 with 100 RPM steps.
Automatic LED brightness control
Device is equipped with an input for sensor (included) that measures amount of light in environment and controls brightness of LEDs according to the actual lightning conditions. (It is possible to turn this feature off.)

Connection
The device is connected via three wires. Positive supply (+), negative supply (-) and the input for revs detector. It has its own fuse,  and is protected against surge and wrong polarity. The output for high power LED is unfused.
Input for revs measuring can be connected to:
Low voltage side of the ignition coil, if there are more ignition coils, to one of them
Directly to the engine rev sensor
Mount an antenna around the ignition lead
