If you are experiencing frequent draft damper solenoid failures, the problem could be due to condensation and creosote buildup
causing the draft door to stick shut. If the damper solenoid can not open the draft door it will fail.  Sometimes the damper solenoid just needs a little help.
The problem can be eliminated, or greatly    reduced, by the installation of this spring-assisted solenoid linkage.
the spring-assisted feature of this linkage effectively increases the force exerted by the solenoid alone, providing more consistent draft door operation.
