A vintage red slag glass footed compote from Imperial Glass Company that bursts with color.  Swirling bands of red and orange flow throughout the piece, varying in intensity as the light changes on it.  The scalloped top edge of the compote is rimmed with an edge of clear and white glass.
The piece measures 6 1/4" tall and the bowl of the compote is 6 1/4" in diameter.  The base is 3 3/4" in diameter.  The I/G mark of Imperial Glass Company is impressed into the underside of the base.
The compote is in excellent vintage condition with no issues - no chips, nicks, or cracks.  The colors of the glass have a rich depth to them.  It's a beautiful piece...better than the photos represent as the photo does not capture the true subtlety of the color variations.
