rarely offered
full-color vintage phone card measures approximately 3 3/8" x 2 1/8", and is super-glossy. The card features the late, great "Pre" in his 1972 Olympics uniform. The card says "Limited Edition" on the front, along with
"Pre!"
. The card's reverse lists Prefontaine's name, with his year-of-birth and year-of-death. This defunct/inoperable phone card (no longer usable) mentions outdated telephone services such as "pager notification". The bottom/right corner states the year-of-issue as "9-96" (September, 1996), and the card's serial number:
411/500
. This phone card featuring the ex-University of
Oregon Ducks
distance runner is one of the scarcest cards ever produced for the iconic track and field star!!
