Mens Nike Running Dri Fit Size Small S/S Shirt w/ Zipper Sleeves READ NWT [EJ17]

Item: Short Sleeve Compression Shirt that has sleeves that zip down to the sides of the shirt.
I am puzzled by these zippers, as they appear to only serve to immobilize the sleeves. My best guess is that these are for (a) someone who has bad shoulder joints or rotator cuffs to help with not straining injured shoulders (b) used for certain types of training like (i) for golf since I used to do a drill where I would hold a towel under my arm, maybe this helps with that, or (ii) baseball (iii) football or I am just not sure. If you do know what this is, please let me know as I have tried to find out through many google searches
