DEARDORFF 120 ROLL FILM & Focusing BACK CAMERA 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Wood 8x10 Stern

This is an auction for a vintage 1960-70's wooden Stern 120 ROLL FILM REDUCING Ground Glass Focusing BACK, for 2 1/4 x 3 1/4" film negs. The overall size is 11 1/2" square, and the back that it fits onto is 8 7/16" square, meaning it probably is for a 5x7 studio camera. I am not sure which studio camera this was intended for, only that it is heavy duty and probably was used with long rolls of 120 film for shooting portraits at schools or the like. Of course regular rolls of 120 film could be used also. The obvious ease is that you can go from focusing to the next frame in about 2 secs. There is a single leaf shutter which swings out of the way when focusing, and out of the way for shooting, see fotos. The condition is excellent, one small ding on one of the outside corners, does not effect operation at all. With a little ingenuity, this could be adopted for an 8x10 studio camera.
