. Made in Chicago, USA. Vintage circa 1960's large format camera back. 8x10 to 5x7 field or view camera reducing back in clean condition. Mahogany center with black paint outer portion. This B&J 8x10 camera back is in
Ex+ or 8.5 out of 10
cosmetic condition. No dings or dents. Good working order. Clean ground glass with no marks or scratches. Nice black paint finish. This 8x10 to 5x7 reducing back fits 8x10 Burke & James field and view cameras. This B&J 8x10 reducing back will also work fine on the 8x10 Eastman 2D field cameras. It may also work on other 8x10 view cameras. Outside measurement of the B&J camera back is 295x295mm's or 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches. The inner edge of the frame measures 11x11" or 279x279mm. Overall nice clean rare late model black B&J 8x10 reducing back. Somebody put an extra brass pin on each of the four sides so that you can add a latch to the back of your camera to hold this back on more firmly if desired. These four extra pins can be removed if not needed(see photos). This back snaps firmly onto the back of an 8x10 camera with the built-in corner pins.
