    Description

Antique Silver-plate Large Serving Bowl with Twelve Cups and Ladle by Poole Silver Company
When my Grandmother entertained, the silver pieces came out in multiples. This is a beautifully decorated, large silver plate bowl measuring 15 inches in diameter by 7 inches tall. In our photos, we are using it to create a bit of ceremony around serving a cold summer soup in matching silver plate cups. It can also be used, for example, for a festive party to serve mint julips, as a punch bowl, or for a large flowered centerpiece.  The set was made by Poole Silver Company which has its origins in Tauton, Mass. in the 1
    9
th century. The pattern of this set we believe to be called Lancaster Rose. A silver plate ladle is also included. We have had this set restored and polished, and it is in excellent antique condition. It would certainly make a wonderful attention getting serving piece, lovely gift or addition to your own home.
