One of 1948's most popular sayings when Sain played for Boston in the National League and formed a formidable pitching tandem with Hall of Famer     Warren Spahn......."Spahn and Sain and pray for rain" (from a poem written by Boston sportwriter Gerald Hern)
He was also the last man to pitch to Babe Ruth in an organized baseball game during the 1943 exhibition season AND the first man to pitch to Jackie Robinson in a major league game in 1947.
Card is in EXC condition with a minor scratch on front and gum residue stain on back - see pics
