    CONDITION: Laminated
    Here is a scarce and attractive 111-year old piece of baseball history, an original front page from the New Orleans Daily Picayune newspaper, celebrating the city's "peerless Pelicans," who the day earlier cinched the Southern League Championship, thanks largely to Joe Jackson's offensive production: 164 hits and 80 runs in 132 games. The paper has been laminated long ago but is excellently preserved for its age and would be ideal for framing. I cannot find another image of this paper anywhere online.
